The aluminum profile manufactured according to extrusion molding has low strength before embrittlement, so it can not be used as a final commodity. Therefore, embrittlement must be carried out to improve its compressive strength. Generally, embrittlement can be divided into two types: natural embrittlement and manual embrittlement. At this stage, the latter is the key. So, how to prevent insufficient aging strength of aluminum profile processing? It can be operated according to the actual operation of the production process and its rough embryo rack and furnace transportation. The following two parts will be explained in detail.
1、 Manufacturing process management
1. Casting temperature control: the casting temperature must be accurately measured before the extruder, and can be manufactured in the caster after reaching the technical standard.
2. Quenching process: heat treatment, tempering and quenching is the prerequisite for aging, and tempering and quenching without heat treatment is meaningless. Therefore, the on-line quenching process (gas quenching, air mist quenching, water quenching, etc.) should be selected according to the casting brand, aluminum profile wall thickness, extrusion rate and quenching machine and equipment standards at the discharge inlet of the extruder. The quenching cooling speed reaches the quenching sensitivity of aluminum alloy.
3. Setting and operation of aging furnace temperature: generally, there is a deviation between aging furnace temperature and conductivity temperature of aging furnace. When setting the surface temperature, please set it according to the specific temperature of the furnace, and pay close attention to the aging fluctuation of the furnace temperature.
4. Embrittlement thermal insulation: embrittlement shall be carried out in strict accordance with the processing process regulations, and the thermal insulation time shall be as long as possible to avoid insufficient strength caused by insufficient or overcapacity.
2、 Vacant structure and furnace
1. The extrusion structure shall not be too dense, and a gap shall be reserved between raw materials, especially small and thick raw materials that are not naturally ventilated. Pipeline raw materials, small raw materials and plates should be composed in one structure. When the pipeline raw materials are placed below, it is beneficial to the supply of gas in the embrittlement circulation system.
2. Aluminum alloy and general 6063 aluminum alloy shall be separately installed before being loaded into the furnace for aging treatment. When aging treatment is carried out in the same furnace due to production and manufacturing, aluminum alloy shall be used for technical aging treatment.
